Jobs and careers in resilience

As the world grapples with new risks related to climate change, compounding events or the interconnection of systems, we are assisting in the emergence of professions with the role to address these issues.

Disaster risk management is a sector that has more than 50 years of existence. It has allowed for both the creation of new professions such as disaster risk managers as well as the adaptation of existing ones in other sectors such as urban planning or insurance.

PreventionWeb, in tune with the latest developments in the field, seeks to assist these new trends, and bring more information about these new careers in resilience to the global disaster risk reduction community.

To this end, we are hosting a series of interviews with professionals that are trailblazers and leaders in their job, providing concrete examples of what they are doing and recommendations for aspiring professionals.

Have a look at our interviews below, as well as trainings to enhance your career, and new job opportunities. Get a feel of the jobs of the future!
