Bangladesh: Big earthquake risk, little preparedness, warn experts

Most buildings essential for providing earthquake victims with support, shelter and treatment are themselves vulnerable even to moderate tremors, reports the Daily Star. 'A risk analysis of hospitals should be conducted and steps should be taken', said ASM Maksud Kamal, urban risk reduction specialist of UNDP's Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP).
