Climate change: still time at Warsaw
This article addresses the Warsaw climate change conference as an important event that seeks to deliberate upon the issues that could transform our economies to be greener and cleaner. It lauds the conference in actively discussing all issues that were hitherto considered inconvenient and suggests other areas where the conference could focus its attention to. These suggestions include: (i) a greater focus on delta areas, (ii) mainstreaming the voices of poor citizens in climate change debates, (iii) according greater attention to food and water security and (iv) recognizing the importance of the role of countries like BASIC countries (Brazil, South Africa, India and China).
