In January 2008, a Pune-based software firm organized an event aimed at raising awareness on disaster management and disaster risk reduction. Over 400 children from 36 schools participated in numerous activities including playing on the new computer game "Snakes and Ladders" aimed at raising awareness on disaster management and disaster risk reduction.
