A study on policy coherence for sustainable development:
This impact study focuses on EU policies in general, as well as on various other influences (negative as well as positive) impacting a key development issue (food security) in a particular poor country (Ethiopia). After reviewing the international and domestic political context of and key challenges to food security in Ethiopia, the study focuses on specific food security impacts of international food lows, climate change-related risks such as drought, flooding, landslides and erosion damage, and land grabs. It pays particular attention to the role of EU policies, as contrasted with other external and domestic policy influences.
