Pakistan-NDMA Summer Contingency Plan 2026
The NDMA's Summer Hazards Contingency Plan 2026, covering the period from April to June 2026, has been developed through a consultative and coordinated process involving disaster management (DM) stakeholders at both federal and provincial levels. The Plan is informed by the seasonal outlook issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), complemented by technical risk analysis and scenario modelling undertaken by the NDMA Technical Team. This Contingency Plan provides strategic guidance to all tiers of disaster management and relevant stakeholders, emphasizing a proactive and anticipatory approach. It outlines key measures for risk mitigation, preparedness, and readiness to address both the most probable hazards and potential worst-case scenarios, ensuring timely, coordinated, and effective response actions.
