Speaking at the launch of a new NGO 'Association for Disaster Control, Protection, and Management (DCPM),' President Ali Mohamed Shein emphasized the need to improve and spread knowledge about disaster preparedness among the public as well as students. "We are vulnerable to disasters due to climate change. People need to be educated on the causes of disasters for prevention and preparedness," he said, commenting on the new NGO that will educate the people on disaster management, and also provide early warning to the population, according to the Daily News, Tanzania Standard News.
