The City of Cape Town’s Human Settlements Directorate agrees with the weather warning that has been issued by the City’s Disaster Risk Management Centre, reports News24.
With flooding expected in many regions of the Western Cape, including in the Cape metropole, the City’s Human Settlements Directorate has urged residents who reside in low-lying, flood-prone areas to help to reduce the flooding risk by, amongst others, raising the floor level of their homes so that it is higher than the natural ground level.
