South Africa: Managing the city’s natural resources - Johannesburg

Lynley Main, on the official website of the city of Johannesburg, talks about a Joburg GDS2040 session on natural resource management where a range of participants suggested ways to conserve natural resources in urban areas, "Conservation interventions are necessary in sectors such as water quality, quantity and management and in demand-side management. Adaptations based on disaster-risk reduction and the sustainable management of ecosystems such as grasslands and wetlands are also necessary."
