According to Maha Mussadaq, writing for the Express Tribune, "Roll the dice and learn a lesson" is the main idea behind a new board game developed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to entertain and inform children of disaster-prone areas in Pakistan. While a first set of 500 games have been given to Islamabad for distribution to schools in the city, an order for 10,000 games has been placed for the game to be distributed to the country’s disaster-affected regions.
Originally designed for Indonesian children after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the game, "Disaster Master" was redesigned and adjusted for common disasters in the Pakistan by the UN office in Bangkok in collaboration with UNESCO. A dice features different disasters such as floods, cyclones, droughts, earthquakes and landslides, while another dice picks a set of question. The game is available in both Urdu and English.
