During his speech at the fourth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction at Incheon, Republic of Korea, City mayor M Subramanian said that earthquake vulnerable Chennai (India) has taken the initiative to construct its own seismically resistant buildings such as schools and health posts as part of various safety measures undertaken by the Tamil Nadu government, reports IBNLive.com India.
