The Guardian: More than half a million homes are at 'significant' risk of flooding in UK
The Guardian UK reports on the latest data from the Environment Agency (EA) stating that the risks to homes and communities will increase unless defences are improved.
"What we know from the science of climate change is that weather patterns are going to become more extreme. The risk is going to get greater and we need to up our game in response to that" said Chris Smith, the EA chairman, at the House of Commons environmental audit committee (EAC) last week.
