The end product is for the trained LGUs to develop quality LCCAP’s anchored on science and evidence based analysis. The ultimate objective is for the determination of appropriate adaptation and mitigation options that are responsive to the identified climate/disaster risks and hazards of a particular locality. This document can also be utilized by LGUs comply to access climate finance opportunities such as the People Survival Fund (Green Fund) and as one of the requirements for an LGU to be awarded with the Seal of Good Local Governance. Likewise, AEV, Climate Change Commission and other partners through providing technical and financial assistance can support the realization of the adaptation and mitigation options identified in the LCCAP.

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction guides this work ensuring that the company considers the climate and disaster risks and impacts in their long-term strategies.
