Climate risk profile: Egypt

Source(s):  United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

This document is meant to provide a brief overview of climate risk issues in relation to Egypt's dependance on the Nile River for 95% of its freshwater. This reliance leaves the country vulnerable to climate shocks and transboundary water conflict. The key resources at the end of the document provide more in-depth country and sectoral analysis.

The report focuses in on the vulnerabilities and sectoral impacts experienced by water resources, agriculture, health, tourism, and coastal zones.
