Lebanon’s Nationally Determined Contribution (2025)

Lebanon’s Nationally Determined Contribution 3.0 (NDC 3.0) outlines the country’s priorities and requirements for the coming decade to advance its vision of a resilient, low-carbon future. Prepared over the course of a year through broad-based consultations, the NDC reflects input from a wide range of actors, ministries and agencies, civil society, development partners, academia, and the private sector.

Under the NDC 3.0 Lebanon commits to reduce its national greenhouse gas emissions by 22% as an unconditional target and 33% as a conditional target compared to a Business-As-Usual scenario (BAU) by 2035. It also commits to increasing renewable energy generation to meet 25% of its electricity demand unconditionally, and 30% conditionally, also by 2035.
