Women, children suffer most from climate change in Kenya
"The impact of climate change is felt differently by different genders hence the need to entrench gender in climate change issues, " told Annabell Waititu, Executive Director of the Institute of Environment and Water (IEW) to Xinhua. Talking at a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, Waititu emphasised the importance of mainstreaming gender issues into climate discussions.
The impact of climate change on children and women will be one of the issues discussed at the upcoming Climate change conference in Doha, Quatar.
