SIGNALERT App: new V2 released

SIGNALERT App is the free smartphone App to report, be aware, manage your experiences with natural or manmade disasters, climate change and environmental or pollution, crisis situation issues. SIGNALERT App is now in use by different national and regional institutions in France. Our coverage is now global.

SIGNALERT is proud to announce the release of V2 of SIGNALERT App, now available on Appelstore and Googleplay.

So what’s new?

An improved free version for all of us

• Several bugs fixed.
• Possibility of reporting new phenomena: cyclone/typhoon/hurricane
• New advices on what to do during a cyclone (and more to come on other types of disasters)
• Better interaction with social networks (share your alerts on Twitter and Facebook)
• Connection to a network of identified users via a code.

A paid version: the personal alert and surveillance tool of remote or neighbor places

• Your own emergency numbers stored on the App for fast sending of messages
• An emergency “I am Safe” button that sends an SMS to reassure your family and friends if you are caught in the middle of a dangerous situation, and locates you.
• Permanent monitoring of your places of interest: receive real time alerts about your chosen places of interest, as sent in by other users of the app in a radius of several kilometers. AN ideal tool to create local networks of neighbors, relatives, friends, colleagues to monitor and report on your close environment when you live in a disaster prone area.
• Real time push notifications about changes in flood warning levels on rivers that could affect you, near your places of interest (currently available in France and soon to be available elsewhere).
• The possibility of contacting other users nearby who sent alerts, and who have given their consent to be contacted, to facilitate mutual support and quick assessment of the situation.
• Yearly subscription available of the paid version through the free App.

Tools for professional

All alerts sent with SIGNALERT App are also accessible through our dedicated tools, in SaaS mode. All our tools are available on PC’s or Tablets from any place with an internet connection and a usual browser.

SIGNALERT CONSULT
Service for local authorities and institutions, managers of monitoring, crisis and emergency networks. Real time consultation on the web interface of citizens’ event notifications on the ground, in a given area. Includes configurable automated detection tools, event notifications and the ability to send messages to users of the App. Merge and export to other systems. Annual subscription.

SIGNALERT DATA
For institutions already equipped with their own situation management and monitoring systems. Direct access to SIGNALERT database from the client’s system. Subscription by area and division by location and by nature of risk on request. Includes configurable detection tools, automatic event notifications and the ability to send messages to users of the App.

SIGNALERT EXPLORE
Makes use of crowdsourcing on social networks and analyses traffic and topics that confirm SIGNALERT feedbacks from the ground. Additional Subscription. Standalone module to analyze data flow on Twitter and extract content and trends in relation or not with a detected event.

An open project

SIGNALERT has already joined several researchers, research and operational organizations for the development of each new module on a specific hazard.
