Thailand: Flooding in south from climate change says official

The Thai Deputy Chief Negotiator for UNFCCC and environment expert, Dr Sangchan Limjirakan said yesterday that the recent flooding in the south of Thailand "is certainly a climate-related disaster", reaffirming the Thai government's concern for the climate issue, reports Xinhua.

"Thai government is very concerned. When people (delegations) come to UNFCCC in Bangkok, we hope that we will finally get solution in terms of political decision as well as implementation related to climate change," she said.
