Saudi Arabia: Launch of early warning system for 'natural' disasters

The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) and the Directorate of Civil Defense announced Monday that they have activated an early alarm system that will help determine the exact time and location of an incident and the type of alarm for various conditions including heavy thunderous rain, strong dusty winds, heavy fog, cold waves, heat waves and intermediate rains, as reported by the Saudi Gazette.
