Launch of the resilient Caribbean cities photo competition 2022
Description
In this launch webinar for the photo competition, the renowned professional photographer Kirk Elliott of St Lucia will share his top advice on how your photos of the eastern Caribbean can tell a story of hope and resilience against climate change.
Tune in to find inspiration from Kirk and learn how to compose a photo with all the winning elements.
You will then be welcome to submit your high-resolution photo, with a short caption of 50-200 words, illustrating an Eastern Caribbean resilience solution under one of these categories:
- People power: social and business innovations for resilience
- Nature-based solutions: green and blue infrastructure that boosts resilience
- Design and technology: resilient features of the built environment and infrastructure
We are awarding one top prize of 750 Eastern Caribbean dollars and two runner-up prizes of 300 Eastern Caribbean dollars to the entries judged by our panel to best illustrate resilience solutions in the Eastern Caribbean. Amateur photographers of any age may apply!

The photo competition is co-sponsored by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, the AFD Adapt’Action programme, the Université des Antilles and the University of the West Indies.
The competition is delivered by ODI and its partners: the University of Technology – Jamaica, EnGen Collective, Acacia Consulting and Suez.
