The Institute of infrastructure renewal and reconstruction (IIIRR) will hold its annual international conference on disaster management in Hawaii on Nov 15th-16th 2010.

Submissions in all areas of disaster management are welcome. Negotiations are underway to publish all the accepted papers in a special issue of International journal of disaster resilience in the built environment. Subject areas are:

1. Disaster incidences
2. Emergency preparedness
3. Risk analysis and assessment
4. Detection, warning and evacuation
5. Communication mechanisms
6. Immediate relief work
7. Infrastructure renewal and reconstruction
8. Project management
9. Infrastructure planning and design
10. Water supply and housing
11. Social infrastructure
12. Health planning and relief
13. Disaster prediction
14. Disaster statistics
15. Geologic patterns of disasters


Call for abstracts

Presentations are invited from the wide range of topics including but not limited to disaster prediction, disaster incidences, emergency preparedness, risk analysis & assessment, detection, warning & evacuation and communication etc.
