• To showcase practical actions that people can take using affordable, local materials, often incorporating traditional techniques or practices from the local area.

Strategies: To identify practical actions that people can follow, sourced from local experts and innovative approaches that have proved successful in surrounding areas. Showcase 'people like me' demonstrating trustworthy, replicable and affordable techniques that ordinary people can do together.

• Media: National TV 'reality' programme (25 mins, weekly). Groups in a different location each week were challenged to tackle a problem together with the guidance of local experts.
