This study provides and overview of Hungary’s disaster risks and natural hazards, such as drought, earthquake, flood and wildfire, and discusses the importance of country’s joining the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) to get assistance in setting up appropriate institutional and legal framework for disaster management.
