According to the Times Live, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Christiana Figueres calls on corporate leaders to "act as a push factor" in addressing climate change. UNFCCC's efforts to reach out to high-profile executives from companies such as Coca-Cola, Unilever and Virgin Group represent "a deeper recognition of the fact that the private sector can contribute in a decisive way," Figueres said. UNFCCC showcases examples of companies making efforts to help vulnerable communities adapt to climate change in an online database launched last month.
