Urban flood and gully erosion risk management in the Congo basin

The report presents World Bank-supported projects across the Congo Basin aimed at strengthening urban resilience to climate-related hazards such as flooding and gully erosion. These initiatives focus on improving climate-resilient infrastructure, enhancing access to basic services, and building institutional and community capacity to better prepare for and respond to disasters.

The report emphasizes that scaling up nature-based solutions, supported by appropriate financing and enabling conditions, can reduce risks, limit economic losses, and support long-term resilience.
