Climate risk profile: Eastern and Southern Caribbean

Source(s):  United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

This profile provides an overview of climate risk issues in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean region, which includes Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, and Guyana. The profile summarizes how climate change will potentially impact six key sectors across the region: coastal resources, human health, water resources, tourism, fisheries, and agriculture.

The brief also includes an overview of historical and future climate trends in the region, the policy context outlining existing climate risk strategies and plans developed by these countries, and a list of ongoing projects that focus on climate adaptation in the Caribbean.
