Work undertaken by the conference of the parties at its fifteenth session on the basis of the report of the AWG-LCA under the Convention

FCCC/CP/2010/2:

This document presents a set of draft decisions containing the outcome of the ad hoc working group on long-term cooperative action (AWG-LCA) work for consideration and adoption at the COP at its sixteenth session, including an enhanced action on adaptation, which calls on the Parties to enhance "climate change related disaster risk reduction strategies, considering the Hyogo Framework for Action where appropriate, early warning systems, risk assessment, and management and sharing and transfer mechanisms such as insurance, at local, national, subregional and regional levels, as appropriate, to address loss and damage associated with climate change impacts in those developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change."
