The Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority is the primary agency with responsibility for the hazard of heatwave. The purpose of the Heatwave Management Plan is to outline the arrangements for the management of heatwaves in Himachal Pradesh across preparedness, response and recovery. The aim of this plan is to enable Himachal Pradesh to mitigate the effects of, prepare for, respond to, and recover from heatwaves.
