National celebrations for the International Day for Disaster Reduction are planned to take place back to back with the third national symposium on Disaster Risk Reduction on Wednesday, 14 October 2015, Maasai Mara University, Narok County.
The National DRR symposium is held annually back to back with the International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR) which falls on 13th day of October every year.
The Kenya Government in partnership with the Baringo County Government and other partners are hosting the National IDDR Celebrations in Marigat, Baringo County.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
