The colloquium will focus on the primary theme of IDDR 2013 but also underscore the relation of reducing community vulnerability through enhanced preparedness. The colloquium seeks to highlight the following thematic areas:

Issues concerning disability and disasters
Integrating traditional and conventional early warning systems
Strengthening early warning and early action linkages.
