Tanzania: Call for early disaster warning system in ocean

Tanzania has advised the Indian Ocean Risk Management Association (IORA) member states to put up ideal early warning systems to avoid adverse impacts to the community when disasters occur.

“It is vital to invest more in long-term capacity development of governmental and non-governmental actors,” said the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Ms Regina Kikuli.
