Philippines: Child welfare group pushes for active children participation in disaster risk reduction efforts

The NGO Akap Bata Philippines has launched a programme to train children on disaster risk reduction efforts in 35 vulnerable communities in Quezon City, reports GMA Network. “Throughout this project, we envision to develop empowered children, parents and families that will actively contribute in disaster management at the community level,” said Rev. Ruel Dia Gracia, executive director of Akap Bata Philippines.
