UN Rio+20 conference : Japan thankful for world help after earthquake

"The Japanese government is advancing the ‘Future City’ model of urban planning with state-of-the-art environmental sustainability, strong disaster resilience and superb livability,” said Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) as reported by Daily Times. Mr Gemba announced that Japan will provide a $3 billion support to developing countries in the field of disaster reduction over the next three years. He also talked about the status of reconstruction since the Great East Japan earthquake.
