Thailand: Gov to conduct full-scale tsunami evacuation drill

Attention please! Attention please! In order to prepare residents, test out functions of equipment and ensure the highest level of safety of the coastal population, the Thai government will be conducting a full scale tsunami warning and evacuation exercise in six Andaman coastal provinces: Ranong, Phang-Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun on 13 September 2010 between 9:30 am and 12 noon. Alarms will go off from 123 warning towers in all participating areas. Local residents & tourists are invited to join in the exercise.
