South Africa: Health and hospitals safe from disasters campaign launched

The National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) in South Africa successfully launched a national UNISDR world disaster reduction campaign last October, under the theme of Hospital Safety in Mpumalanga Province's Gert Sibande District Municipality, Ermelo.

The campaign culminated from partnership of the NDMC, the Mpulamanga government (Departments of Health and Social Services and that of Local Government) as well as the national department of Health.
