The December 4 - 12, 2014 Manila, Philippines Schedule of HMES will be postponed indefinitely.

Brief on the project

An international summit designed for highly advanced and accurate forecasting to map critical disaster Flash points, generate from earth observation, ground penetrating satellite data and other sources, a full function GIS for hydro, seismic, solar, forest, earth core other significant fields. The conference aims to introduce changes and shifts in select policy and decision making regimes (e.g. Climate Change, dealing with land deformations or wetlands defacement, promulgating agreements for the observation holding of the International Risk Reduction and Hazard Mapping Year, Risk Reduction Month, Hazards Awareness Day, expanded agreements on sharing of GIS on disasters and information from outer space, priority care for disabled and waiver of immigration regulations in major disasters, balancing campaign for resilience with tagging of non buildable areas and relocation of communities in the path of danger, fault lines, liquefaction sites, other vulnerable places).
