Philippines local governments receive grant from Spain for DRR project

Five areas in the province of Nueva Ecija were given 3.5 million euros by the Spanish Cooperation Agency for Development (AECID) for the implementation of a disaster preparedness project involving infrastructure, livelihood and capacity development with disaster risk reduction trainings, through an agreement on "Strengthening the Disaster Risk Reduction Capacity of LGUs," reports the Inquirer.
