Having cautioned about 2010-like floods situation in the Ravi and Satluj rivers this year, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that the National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy (NDRRP) would be much beneficial if prepared in time for the start of pre-monsoon season. According to The Nation, the first NDRRP, which is being formed for early warning system, could take one to two months more for completing the assessment in the whole country.
