Myanmar: Disaster preparedness school to be ready in 2016
The Myanmar government has announced that their first training school for natural disaster management will be operational by 2016, reports Myanmar Times.
Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Daw Myat Myat Ohn Khin said the school “can reduce the damage caused by disasters by teaching a curriculum of preventative measures”. She added that it was designed to help students prepare their communities for future disasters.
