"The fact that climate change will impact the Maldives is nothing new" said Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, "We must refocus our effort on people, to adapt and further mitigate the effect on people who's lives will be most affected: the people of the front line at most islands, women and children who are the most vulnerable" he added, speaking at the launch of the State of World Population report in Malé, Maldives, yesterday by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
