Japan, Trinidad and Tobago eye stronger ties

According to Kyodo News, Japan and Trinidad and Tobago agreed to bolster cooperation in a range of areas including disaster prevention. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, visiting the disaster- and hurricane-prone Caribbean country, said Japan is considering a new framework to help Trinidad and Tobago prevent disasters and deal with environmental issues.
