Japan: ICHARM signs MoU with DPRI

ICHARM signed a “General Memorandum for Academic Cooperation and Exchange” with the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI) of Kyoto University. The signing ceremony was held at DPRI on 25 January 2010. Prof. Norio Okada, director of DPRI, and Prof. Kuniyoshi Takeuchi, director of ICHARM, signed the agreement.

The MOU is expected to enhance cooperation between the institutes, such as joint research and exchange of scientists and students, in the field of water hazard, water resources and disaster risk management.
