Fiji met service making sure rainfall information is having maximum benefit to communities

The Fiji Meteorological Service has been working with stakeholders to ensure information shared via its monthly early action rainfall watch bulletin is being used to its maximum effect.

The bulletin is distributed to stakeholders such as the water authority and the National Disaster Management Office to assist in their planning and preparations.

"We wanted to get feedback from our users … on the current bulletin that we provide to all our users for the early action rainfall watch," Mr Atalifo said.

"We also wanted to train users to better understand how to interpret the product and how to utilise that in their day-to-day operations."
