Speaking at the launch of National Disaster Awareness Week in Suva yesterday, former Fiji Trade Investment Board chairman Joe Singh stated, "Today it is possible to protect health facilities from such adverse events with current knowledge and a strong commitment and even with limited resources in developing countries such as Fiji."
"The World Disaster Reduction Campaign aims to raise awareness and effect changes that will protect the lives of patients and health workers by ensuring resilience of health facilities." he added.
