Fiji: Disaster program to help communities in Samoa

According to the Fiji National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) Fiji more work needs to be carried out to improve communities' resilience to disasters in Samoa.

"While we are working at changing the mindsets we also need to learn how to handle the public in times of disasters. People are beginning to take heed of warnings. All we need to do is provide them with training to improve their skills and through this the effects of climate change could be compounded." said Anthony Blake, the National Disaster Management Office, to the NDMO Fiji
