Emerging DRR Initiative leads up to AMCDRR in New Delhi

Ahead of the Asian Ministerial Conferences on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) to be held in November, the Change Planet Partners Climate Innovation Foundation launched an ICT-led initiative to highlight emerging trends in disaster risk reduction.  

The Emerging Disaster Risk Reduction (EDRR) initiative seeks to take inventory of the emerging DRR practices, approaches, models, trends and innovations and present them in an intuitive manner to promote awareness and uptake among a wide range of DRR for wider DRR stakeholders (including citizens, science-policy, businesses involved in adapting disaster informed CSR practices, local civic bodies and organizations and science-policy networks working at the cutting edge of disaster science).

The site documents models, open datasets and initiatives to support disaster risk-informed decision making, innovative use cases of communication and media tools and emerging DRR technologies. The content has been specially curated in the run up to the AMCDRR 2016, which will take place in New Delhi India in November 2016.
