Very low-tech adaptation and mitigation strategies for farmers is essential in adapting to climate change, according to researchers at the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). In fact, many of the methods farmers can use to adapt to increased variability will also make their farm more resilient, reports Forbes.
