CCRIF scholarship programmes for Master/MBA students

The CCRIF Scholarship Programme invites applications for scholarships for 2020/21 to support students pursuing Masters level degree programmes in areas such as disaster risk management (DRM), natural resources management, climate change, civil with environmental engineering, actuarial science, meteorology, etc. at universities in the Caribbean, USA, UK and Canada.

Through the CCRIF Scholarship Programme, CCRIF provides a maximum of eight scholarships annually for students that are citizens of CARICOM member countries and/or CCRIF Caribbean member countries. They need to pursue a Masters or an MBA programme in a number of pre-identified areas related to disaster risk management.

  • 1 scholarship – up to US$40,000 – for study at a university in the United Kingdom, United States or Canada
  • 6 scholarships – up to US$11,000 each – for study at the following accredited universities in the Caribbean: the University of the West Indies; University of Technology, Jamaica; Northern Caribbean University (Jamaica); University of Guyana; University of Suriname
  • Scholarship/s for study in the new course based on the CCRIF Training Programme, “Understanding Disaster Risk Financing, CCRIF Parametric Policies and the Relationship with Fiscal and Economic Policy” at the University of the West Indies – to be offered from August 2020

The deadline for applications for the 2020 CCRIF Scholarship Programme is June 15, 2020.
