X Conference: International Day for Disaster Reduction

The International Day for Disaster Reduction, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), is a reflection on the issue of disasters, taking into account the phases of prevention, rescue and rehabilitation.

The theme of this conference is "The role of the private sector in reducing the risk of disaster," thus special attention will be given to the issue of “Knowledge for Life”. The papers presented at the conference will portray best practices in risk reduction implemented by the private sector and the work carried out over the past five years within the "Always Moving, Amadora is Resilient" campaign (Making Cities Resilient campaign).
