Indonesia disaster management expo (new date)

Indonesia Disaster Management Expo 2010 which was due to be held from 20-22 October 2010 will now take place from to 4-6 November 2010 in order to synergize with the ASEAN Regional Disaster Emergency Response Simulation Exercise (ARDEX). The venue is still the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran.

Indonesia Disaster Management Expo is the first international disaster/emergency management event aiming to to improve emergency rescue technology and equipment. The event aims to attract a large number of foreign and domestic manufacturers with most-advanced technology and equipment, and help foreign and local business partners meet whilst facilitating direct access for foreign firms to the Indonesia market.

The topics of this event will include: Advances in earthquake engineering, seismic and tsunami - from hazard to risk assessments, disaster mitigation and management, rehabilitation and reconstruction, case-histories, on-shore and off-shore earthquake resistant facilities, tsunami warning system, and other related subjects.

The conference agenda has been developed by the National Agency For Disaster Management (BNPB) advisory board, based on regional as well as international issues.
